The newly elected board of Accra Hearts of Oak is expected to hold its first meeting on Thursday to appoint a new club chairman.

The chairman is expected to be named from among the 24-member board put in place last Saturday at the club’s congress.

Reports have revealed that leading contenders for the position include, former chief executive Harry Zakkour, Commodore E.M Mensah Togbe Afede.

Speculation is rife that former MP Hanna Tetteh Kpoda is widely tipped to wrestle the position of board secretary from incumbent Ernest Thompson.
