The sports ministry has shot a warning to the Ghana Football Association ahead of its extraordinary congress slated for later this week.
According to the Graphic sports, government has warned the Football association to meet the FIFA requirements of holding early elections or it would impose a new chairman on the association.
A deputy minister of education and sports, O.B Amoah has said that government has learnt that some members of the FA are calling for a postponement of the scheduled elections till after the world cup in Germany next year.
The matter is expected to be discussed at Congress and government has warned the FA to stick with the schedule and agree on an early date for elections to be held later in December or early next year.
