The president of the Confederation of African Football Issa Hayatou has called on FIFA to allocate more places to African nations in the 2010 World Cup finals.
The CAF president says that the five places currently on offer is too few.
"The presence in Germany 2006 of countries like Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Angola will motivate the entire continent," he said.
"Africa is the future of worldwide football," he added.
The world soccer governing body before the 1998 world cup increased Africa’s three places to five.
