The Ghana Football Association has debunked reports about a purported move to contract South African soccer administrator Danny Jordaan to manage the Black Stars’ World Cup campaign.
The Graphic Sports newspaper yesterday reported that the GFA had started talks with Mr Jordaan to help Ghana maximize the commercial opportunities that the Black Stars’ participation in next year’s world cup finals will generate.
The acting chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, is quoted in the story as disclosing that the FA had initiated moves to bring the South African on board.
But the General Secretary of the GFA, Kofi Nsiah, has described the story as a fabrication by the author intended to malign the association.
Mr Nsiah argues that his boss never had the said conversation with the author of the story.
In a quick reaction to the FA scribe’s comments, Rosalind Amoh, told a local radio station, Joy FM, she was disappointed at the FA’s attempt to discredit her.
