Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah saved Fenerbahce from defeat with a superb 20-yard volley to help his side draw at home with German side, Schalke.
Fenerbahce and Schalke played out an extraordinary 3-3 draw, that saw three goals in seven second half minutes.
The Ghanaian captain scored his spectacular goal in the 79th minute when his side Fenerbahce, playing at home were down 3-2.
A corner fell to Appiah outside the area and he took a touch before finding the top left hand corner in style to put them at level pegging again two minutes after Schalke had scored their third goal.
The goal was greeted with deafening cheers from the packed Sukru Saracoglu stadium.
In other champions league games on the night, Sulley Ali Muntari was in action for Italy’s Udinese who drew 1-1 with German side, Werder Bremen.
But Eric Addo was on the bench for PSV Eindhoven in their 0-0 draw with AC Milan.
