The acting chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has described as baseless calls by the founder of premier league club King Faisal for the dissolution of the management board of the FA ahead of planned elections.
Alhaji Karim Grunsah insists some members of the board are exploiting their positions to campaign for the chairmanship of the FA and other slots on the yet to be formed executive committee.
The Faisal boss has proposed that in order to provide a level playing field for all the aspiring candidates an interim management body should be charged with the day-to-day administration of the FA until the elections are conducted.
But Nyantakyi, widely tipped to be confirmed at the polls, says Grunsah’s arguments are not supported by the GFA’s law books.
