Former Black Stars coach, Ralf Zumdick is confident Ghana would be a huge success at next year’s world cup to be hosted by Germany.
The German coach who left the job after starting off Ghana’s world cup qualifying campaign says the Black Stars ensured their qualification after their last home game against Uganda’s Cranes in Kumasi.
“Ofcourse Ghana has a big chance to excel at the world cup and I think Germany is the place to do it.
"The team has such a good quality players especially among the locals who are not known much to the rest of the world who are always focused on Nigeria and Cameroon.
“They will love the Black Stars play.”
But the former Ghana coach in an interview with the Soccer Express newspaper, a tri-weekly local paper says the team’s victory belongs solely to Serbian Ratomir Dujkovic.
“The victory is not one for past coaches, not me certainly and give all the praises to Dujkovic, he is the man.”
Zumdick was in charge when the Black Stars began started the world cup qualifiers trashing Somalia 7-0 on aggregate over both legs.
He had been in charge of Asante Kotoko and King Faisal before taking up the national job.
