Ghana's top players will have to forgo their Christmas holidays after head coach Ratomir Dujkovic revealed his plans for the 2006 Cup of Nations in January in Egypt.
The Serbian told the Ghana News Agency that the Stars will begin camping on December 19th, one clear month before the start of the Cup of Nations in Egypt. This, he says is to enable the players have the required preparations that will enable them put up a good showing in Africa.
Though no fiirm plans has been made for camping venues among others, the Stars are likely to be set up base outside Ghana in an effort to cut out all the distractions that comes with preparing for major games at home.
"I would like to camp the boys outside Ghana for special reasons. This will help to improve on their concentration and do a lot of good to their preparation and I'm convinced that will be the best choice for the team", he said.
The Cup of Nations next year will be Doya's second appearance at the Cup of Nations after he guided Rwanda to their first ever showing there in 2004.
Ghana will know her opponents for the group phase of the competition next week when the draw for the tournament is made in Cairo.
