Accra Hearts of Oak and archrivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko would be making official statements before the FA’s disciplinary committee over incidents that led to the delay of their 25th week league game.
Kick off to the 1-1 drawn game at the Ohene Djan stadium in Accra was delayed for well over an hour because of clash of the colours of their jerseys.
The disciplinary committee would also grant hearing to the match officials of that game led by FIFA referee William Agbovi.
The Suhum-based referee had come under scathing criticisms by Kotoko for certain officiating decisions he took during a premier league meeting between the two sides.
But the referees association of Ghana leapt to his defence decrying attempts by Kumasi Asante Kotoko to shred the credibility of FIFA referee William Agbovi.
Kotoko had since issued an official statement accusing the match official of open bias for their archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak in that ill-tempered clash.
The chairman of the Referees Association of Ghana, L.O Laryea, says Agbovi is a referee of international repute whose credibility cannot be questioned.
Laryea said the Referees Appointment Committee, responsible for the appointment of referees for the premiership, will not be cowered by these accusations from the big clubs.
