AshantiGold’s supporters’ call for the resignation of the club’s CEO, Andy Sam and the head coach, Hans Van Der Pluym, seems to have finally paid off with both men stepping down last week.
Both men tendered their resignation last week in the wake of the club’s three-game home ban ruling by the disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association over charges of crowd violence.
Former Black Stars team manager and the administrative manager of the Ghana League Club’s Association Cudjoe Fianoo, is been handed the job of reversing the team’s struggling fortunes in the GT premiership.
Cudjoe Fianoo is in charge of a five-member interim management committee set up by the club’s board of directors to steer the affairs of the AshantiGold till the end of the season.
AshantiGold are placed ninth on the league standings with five games to go but would have to first serve a three-game home ban.
