The Ghana Football Association’s fund raising drive aimed at realizing $2 millionfor the Black Stars’ preparations ahead of next year’s African Cup of Nations and World Cup participation comes off today.

A dinner would be held this evening at the Alisa Hotel in Accra to call on corporate bodies and individual Ghanaians to support the Stars to succeed in their first ever entry into the World Cup.

The fund raising drive is dubbed, "Support Black Stars for Germany 2006 FIFA World Cup and Egypt 2006 African Cup of Nations."

Organisers of the event say a number of commercial and financial institutions and post offices would be used as outlets to help raise substantial funds.
