Players of the national under 17 team, the Black Starlets are calling for a warm reception at the Kotoka international airport ahead of their arrival in Ghana this weekend.

The Starlets who were runners-up in the African championships were unceremoniously bundled out of the world tournament in Peru at the group stages.

Ghana failed to win a single match at the championships after notching three successive one-all draws.

Speaking from their base in Peru, two members of the team, David Telfer and Sadat Bukari have been telling Joy sports of their expectations when they arrive in Accra on Saturday.

Brazil will face Mexico in the finals of the World under 17 tournament, after both countries won their semifinal games yesterday.

Turkey’s hopes of a final berth were denied in a thrilling semi-final as they fell 4-3 to Brazil.

The ten-man Turks staged an amazing recovery from a 3-0 deficit at half-time to level the scores, but Brazil's Igor struck a last-minute winner to dash the Europeans' hopes.

In the other semi-final game, Mexico were highly impressive as they swept aside the Netherlands 4-0.
