With barely 72 hours to Sunday’s big game involving Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, the usual pre-match complaints have started with the porcupine warriors firing the first salvo.
Joy Sports can confirm that officials of Kotoko just this afternoon have petition the football organizing body to change their choice of the match referee.
In a letter signed by the chairman of Kotoko’s three-man interim committee, Alhaji Injee, the porcupine warriors want Suhum-based referee William Agbovi changed.
According to Kotoko, they have not enjoyed good officiating under Agbovi in previous matches.
Hearts trail Kotoko by a point, and probably this Sunday’s clash at the Ohene Djan stadium, would be critical in deciding who win the league ultimately.
