Officials of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have successfully managed to talk out Yamoah Ponkoh to rescind his resignation from the club.
This was after hours of long meetings at the club’s headquarters in Kumasi involving key management and board members.
Yamoah Ponkoh, the club’s deputy public relations officer resigned from his post making several claims against the lack of co-operation from the other management members.
Joy Sports sources claim, Yamoah overturned his decision due to the influence of the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
For now, Kotoko would get back on course to deal with a critical week, with their second league title chase in over a decade in sight.
On the field, the porcupine warriors host strugglers Kade Hotspurs tomorrow, with that fixture with sworn rivals Accra Hearts of Oak looming at the end of the week.
But with the dealing on the internal strife over the Yamoah Ponkoh resignation off their agenda now, the management would appear ready to deal with its core business of keeping their winning spirit on course.
