Sparta Rotterdam are ruing the loss of new Ghanaian signing, Anthony Obodai through injury. Obodai on Saturday broke his collarbone.

The former Ajax player picked up the injury against Heracles Almelo on Saturday and tests confirmed the break, which is set to rule him out for some time.

Though it has not been confirmed for how long Anthony Obodai will be sidelined, early indications are suggesting he could be out of action for upwards of six weeks.

Obodai arrived at the club on the transfer deadline day from Ajax and made a bright start to his new career.

Sparta have made a solid start to the new campaign, but will have to shuffle their pack following the news of Obodai's injury.
