For the third time in about five weeks, the Professional League Board has postponed a scheduled round of matches in the GT Premier league.
The match-day-23 fixtures have been rescheduled to Wednesday, September 20.
According to a statement from the PLB, the move is to prevent a pile up outstanding matches as the league enters into the homestretch.
King Faisal were scheduled to clear their outstanding league tie against Real Tamale United on Wednesday, but the match had to be called off after Faisal failed to arrive in the country last Tuesday as expected.
Yesterday only one six players of the Kumasi based team arrived in the country from Rabat with the rest yet to arrive.
The chairman of the PLB, Welbeck Abra Appiah says the postponement is in the overall interest of the club.
King Faisal’s outstanding game against RTU will now be played on Wednesday October 5 as the Black Stars prepare for their World cup qualifier against Cape Verde.
Due to the recent postponements, the Premier league will now end on November 13, two days shy off the CAF deadline for the submission of league champions.
The latest move would afford King Faisal the chance to first clear their 22nd week outstanding game against Real Tamale United when their full squad arrives from Morocco.
