Professional league Board of the Ghana Football Association says it intends to clamp down heavily on the increasing spate of violence at the premier league centres.
The 22nd round of matches were marked by acts of violence at the Robert Mensah stadium in cape coast and the Len Clay stadium in Obuasi.
The Chairman of the Professional league Board, Welbeck Abrah Appiah has told Joy Sports that the body will fastrack the disciplinary process for quick sanctions to be imposed on the offending clubs.
Whilst declining to make any specific comments on the Len clay incident due to a court threat by Ashanti Gold, the PLB Chairman says they hope to have a ready decision on the Cape coast episode latest by next week.
“The disciplinary committee can hand club’s found guilty of such offences fines or match ban.
"But this time, they can also hand such clubs two or three match suspensions.” Abra-Appiah told Joy Sports
