Work is expected to begin soon on the construction of an office complex for the Ghana Football Association following the award of contract to a local firm.
The Ghana Football Association received the second trunch of $400,000 from football's world governing body, FIFA's Goal Project.
FIFA wants each member association to have its own House of Football by the year 2006.
Among the facilities such programs are intended for is the provision of offices, playing pitches, training centres and other facilities to develop the game.
According to acting FA chairman, Kwasi Nyantakyi, FIFA would be paying the monies directly to the contractor who is expected to begin works immediately.
Ghana has met FIFA’s condition of approval for the second trunch of funds after completing the first Goal project, which is fully operational.
Ghana received its first Goal Project funds under Ben Koufie’s administration.
