The Onetouch Premier League would be on this weekend before the league goes on break to make way for the continental event, the African Cup of Nations.

And the hardly predictable league throws up some tough pairings on match-day-10 with leaders, Asante Kotoko’s hold at the summit coming under threat again while Great Olympics attempt to ride on the back of their first win to escape relegation, as the table shows now.

Match action begins on Saturday at the Len Clay Stadium where King Faisal, playing at home welcomes Wa All Stars, who they trail by three points.

The Blues from Wa are yet to pick up a win from home with their best being a draw on the opening day of the league and against King Faisal, they would attempt to share the spoils or if possible stun their host by winning.

The bulk of the weekend’s games come up on Sunday and at the Anane Boateng Stadium, the local derby between Kessben FC and Asante Kotoko would be decided. The game would be the first between both sides in the elite division.

Kotoko, having seen their great start to the season somehow jolted would be hoping to leave the grounds of their former director – Kwabena Kesse - with a win.

Both sides have lots to prove as the Kessben FC technical team made of former Asante Kotoko players attempt to scale through a derby game which could define the extent of rivalry that exist between the two sides.

The home team have picked up three successive defeats on the way to meeting Kotoko with a fourth a possibility considering the form of the Porcupine Warriors.

Accra Hearts of Oak would try to get back on track when they play Berekum Arsenals at the El-Wak Stadium. The Phobians are four points short of their opponents on match-day-10 and eleven points adrift the league leaders.

A string of poor performances and results have thrown serious questions about the ability of the Phobians to defend the title won last season and the Gunners could further deny that important win at home.

After their first win out of nine matches, Accra Great Olympics would be on the road to Obuasi where they play AshantiGold at the Len Clay Stadium.

The Miners have had a rather poor start to the season and against the Wonder Boys, they are tipped to collect the three points.

The Swedru Park would see Gamba All Blacks play joint league leaders, Heart of Lions. The Black Magicians have failed to live up to the billing after a huge cash injection and would struggle to overcome the Lions even though they would be playing before their supporters.

Sekondi Hasaacas would open the Essipong Stadium this weekend - one of the venues for the African Cup of Nations - with a home game against Real Sportive.

Hasaacas, just a place above the bottom club need a win to help them improve their position and could be spurred on by the home fans at the new stadium to pick up victory.

At the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast, Tema Youth play Real Tamale United , who have been good away performers despite losing 6-2 in one of their away games.

Liberty Professionals would be involved in the Dansoman derby against Zaytuna FC at the Carl Reindorf Park.
