Asante Kotoko coach, Bashir Hayford leads his side out at the Baba Yara Stadium for the CAF Confederations Cup well aware that the Reds need not get complacent despite leading on aggregate from the first leg.

The Porcupine Warriors are tipped to progress CAF Confederations Cup this Sunday when they playing Nigerian side Wikki Tourists drawing 2-2 in the first leg.

Bashir Hayford is counting on the clubs passionate followers to fill the Baba Yara Stadium and back them on to edge past their opponents.

“I was a witness to how the club’s fans filled the stadium for games in the past. There were days when every inch of space was taken up and the atmosphere unbeatable. But I have not seen that since I have been here. I will love to see that on Sunday and the players will love it too,” Hayford said.

Kotoko would head into the game leading on aggregate and Bashir Hayford believes home familiarity will be vital.

“Wikki were good in the first leg but in Kumasi we will force them to play the way we want because we would have three things in our favour which are the weather, the pitch which we are more familiar with and of course the fans,” the Kotoko coach said.
