Third phase of screening exercise into Black Starlets team begins

The third phase of screening of players into the next Ghana U-17 national team (Black Starlets) started on Tuesday at the Military Academy Training School in Teshie with young talents from turning out on the first day of the exercise.

The first phase held two weeks ago saw selected players from the National U15 league go through a three-day selection exercise at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

Young talents from various academies across the country were also handed an opportunity to justify their inclusion into the next junior national team in the  second phase of the selection process.

Players who will pass the test from all three phases will form the nucleus of the next U17 team and will be expected to begin camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram later this year.

Selected players will be expected to come along with prove of their ages (birth certificates or passports if any) as well as MRI reports.

Technical team members as well as the Chairman of the management committee and other GFA officials were at the Teshie MATS park for the screening exercise.
