Two late goals helped Accra Hearts of Oak to claim all three points in their opening game against newly-promoted Sporting Mirren.

Eric Gawu and Douglas Nkrumah, making his debut for the Phobians gave new coach Kosta Papic's side a winning start after being outplayed for long stretches of the game by Mirren at the Ohene Djan Stadium in an evening kick off yesterday.

Gawu, Hearts' most expensive signing till date, scored the first goal for before Nkrumah added a late second from a corner kick.

Mirren would blame their defeat on their poor finishing as Hearts move second on the table and join four other sides to have won their opening round of matches.
