Hasaacas profit from DC ruling

Sekondi Hasaacas have moved clear the relegation zone after bagging a further three points at the expense of Real Tamale United after the ruling of their match-day-6 game scheduled for last year went their favour.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association in its ruling of the protest filed by Hasaacas has awarded the plaintiff three points plus three goals after the Pride of the North failed to honour their December 23, 2007 match scheduled for the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast due to a clash of jersey colours.

“Real Tamale United are declared losers of its 6th week OneTouch league match in line with GFA Regulations article 34 (1) (H).

“Accordingly, 3 points and 3 goals shall be awarded in favour of Sekondi Hasaacas in respect of the match as per GFA Regulations article 34 (3),” a statement by the Disciplinary Committee stated.

Real Tamale United by the decision lose three points plus a three goals from their accumulated point build up in accordance with article 34 (5) (a). The clubs is also fined GH ¢450 and of the sum GH ¢200 will go to Sekondi Hasaacas when the fine is paid.

Hasaacas are now placed 9th on the table with a game in hand.

No ball was kicked at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast as the game between Sekondi Hasaacas and Real Tamale United failed to come on due to a clash of jersey colours on December 23, 2007.

A new set of jersey brought in by the away side, Real Tamale United arrived late after the match referee had called off the game.
