The Board, Management and Staff of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), headline Sponsor of the Black Stars, have expressed confidence in the team, ahead of its second match of the AFCON 2017 qualifiers.

In a message issued by the Corporate Affairs Department and copied the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday, the Chief Executive of GNPC Mr. Alexander Kofi-Mensah Mould, congratulated the team on its triumphant take-off in the maiden match and urged the players to approach the next match with the same passion.

“We are proud of your sparkling performance against your Mauritian counterparts, and urge you to maintain the same form as you meet your Rwandese counterparts in your second match on Saturday, September 5, 2015 in Kigali” Mr. Mould said.

He urged the team to be guided by Professionalism, Teamwork, and Discipline, focusing on victory in the end.

“We urge you the players, the technical and management teams, to work in unison. You can attain what you have set out to achieve – victory!”.

Mr Mould called on all fans to rally behind the team to once again show patriotism and lift high the flag of Ghana.

The GNPC was established as a State-owned entity to operate on a commercial basis.

The corporation was given legal backing through two main statutes, the PNDC Laws 64 and 84.

The corporation’s vision is to become a leading global oil and gas company, whose operations have a profound impact on the quality of life of the people of Ghana.
