The Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association has unanimously voted for the extension of Mr Claude Le Roy’s contract as coach of the senior national team, the Black Stars.
At its meeting on Thursday, - the first after the Nations Cup - the 22-member governing body headed by FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, decided to keep faith with the coach until 2010, after having guided Ghana to bronze at the just ended African Cup of Nations.
The decision by the Executive Committee means Claude Le Roy’s contract will be renewed for another two years when his current deal expires.
Le Roy will take Ghana through the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers which begins in June this year.
