The qualification ambitions of some clubs could gain a major boost while other sides might see their hopes end as the promotion league enters the penultimate stage on Wednesday.

After an opening day of mixed results, match-day-2 would be keenly contested as the hopes of clubs remaining in the qualification hunt certainly depends on the day’s results.

Aduana Stars would be looking for their second win when they take on Universal Stars in Zone I at the Baba Yara Stadium. The other group fixture will see Guan United attempt to overcome their opening day defeat as they play Bechem United at the Wesley College Park.

The first round of matches in Zone II dealt the return hopes of Ebusua Dwarfs and the dream of Tarkwa United to end their 29-year wait of premiership action a rather a big blow as both sides lost.

But they have an opportunity to make amends when they confront the opening day winners.

Dwarfs would battle Gold Stars in Accra while Tarkwa United slug things out with New Edubiase United in Tema.

All Four candidates in Zone III will have everything to play for as they remain par on points after they all drew one-all in the first games.

Great Olympics will host Mighty Jets at the Robert Mensah Stadium with Okwawu United playing Real Sportive in Gyandu.
