Having qualified in style from their zones, twelve of Ghana's division one league clubs would be aiming to continue their impressive progress to the elite ranks.
Five of the twelve clubs were former members of the elite division would be seeking readmission to premier league.
Okwawu United, Eleven Wise, Great Mariners, Wa All Stars and Mine Stars are seeking a return to the elite division of Ghana football after qualifying to participate in this year’s National Middle League.
Two of the five have been rechristened since their drop seasons back – Upper West Heroes have had their name changed to Wa All Stars while GHAPOHA FC are now Great Mariners.
The five, together with seven other qualified clubs – Lepo Stars, Catholic Stars, Aduana United, Kessben F.C, Samartex, Mighty Jets and Nania F.C will be contesting for the three slots allocated to Division One clubs after the end of the Premiership season.
Three clubs down the log on the premiership table at the end of the season would be relegated to pave way for three new entrants.
There’s been a change in the qualifying campaign for the twelve teams. All the qualified teams would be grouped into three zones.
Four teams would be holed up in a zone each with each team playing against all the sides in the zone.
Winners of the three zones would qualify for the premiership next season after three rounds of matches.
Lepo Stars, Catholic Stars, Aduana Stars and Wa All Stars are grouped in Zone I.
Zone II pairs Kessben F.C, Mine Stars, Eleven Wise and Samartex.
In Zone III, Okwawu United, Tudu Mighty Jets, Great Mariners and Nania F.C would make up the group.
