Elite coaches enlist themselves to acquiring knowledge as 45 technical persons seek to obtain CAF's 'B' license.

Ghana's leading national and club coaches have all gathered at the GFA's technical centre, the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram for the first-ever course.

The two-week course which is been held by the Ghana Football Association is under the technical supervision of Ben Koufie and A.K. Edusei with a CAF instructor also participating.

Co-ordinator of the programme, Francis Oti Akenteng says the course which started on August 9 and runs until August 23 has been encouraging as coaches of different generations share knowledge.

Seasoned professionals like Malik Jabir and Herbert Addo have all made themselves available.

The much younger generation which includes Isaac Acquaye, Edward Ansah, Kwesi Appiah, Frimpong Manso, Paa Kwesi Fabin and George Lamptey are taking part.

Former national team players like Yaw Preko, Yaw Acheampong and Felix Aboagye are also participants.

"We are excited with the persons educating both the old and new generation of coaches.

"I think the participants are lucky to benefit from such experiences and also the interest by former national stars is very encouraging," Oti Akenteng told www.ghanafa.org.

The focal point of activities involving the education of the coaches are training, tactics, psychology, physiotherapy and practice.
