The body which organises Ghana’s premier league has been rechristened ahead of the new football season.

The body to be called the Premier League Board – PLB – was accepted by Congress yesterday at its first ordinary session.

The Premier League Board was formally called the Professional League Board.

Ahead of the new season, Congress also demanded that all clubs put in place functional offices.

Other decisions taken at the day’s session included:

- The use of two jersey stripes instead of three stripes used during the past season.

- All match fields to be used for football must be protected with an inner-perimeter.
