Jordan Ayew expects to have a prolonged stay with the national team after he earned his first Ghana cap on Sunday.

The 18-year-old attacker came on for the last ten minutes of his Ghana's 3-0 win over Swaziland at Somhlolo Stadium in Lobamba in the qualifying for the 2012 African Cup of Nations.

Jordan's international debut came less than four months after he broke into the Olympique Marseille senior team and he is thrilled with the experience as he confirmed to KickOffGhana.com about the debut.

"It was a good thing for me and the family. I didn't think it will be now but it has come and I am delighted," he said.

Though he faces an anxious wait to discover if he will make the squad again with Ghana's next qualifying game at home to Sudan in October, the youngster insists he is willing to get himself involved with the senior team having 'overcome the shock' of his first call up by Milovan Rajevac.

"I will do my possible best to remain at the highest level but I don't want to put pressure on myself. It is my objective to be in the Black Stars game every time. I have overcome the shock of my first call up so now I am keen to hold onto it."
