FIFA has appointed Olegario Benquerenca of Portugal to referee Ghana's quarter-final clash against Uruguay at the World Cup.
The game on Friday at Johannesburg’s Soccer City be will the 41 year-old referee’s third official match at the tournament.
Benquerenca would be assisted by Jose Cardinal and Bertino Miranda on the lines.
Ghana can make history by beating Uruguay to eclipse Cameroon's exploits in 1990 and Senegal in 2002 and become the first African side in the last four.
