Milovan Rajevac has not been lost out of the rivalry that would be on stage when Ghana faces Nigeria today with a place in the final of the Africa Nations Cup up for grabs.

Both semi-finalists will face off at Luanda's 11 November Stadium as they put behind them their contrasting road to the last four and relive their West African derby.

The last meeting both nations at the 2008 Nations Cup went Ghana's way after the Black Stars knocked out Nigeria 2-1 in the quarter-final.

Rajevic has done a great job to get Ghana this far given the injury crisis he has had to contend but needs no reminding of the importance of such an encounter no matter the competition.

"There is a definite rivalry between the two countries. On top of that this is a semi-final in the Africa Cup of Nations, with a place in the final up for grabs," Ghana's coach Milovan Rajevac said.

Striker, Asamoah Gyan, who scored the decisive goal in Ghana's quarter-final win over the hosts, is relishing facing Nigeria again.

"Every Ghanaian knows how important it is to play Nigeria. We are ready for them and prepared and we will stick to the game plan that the coach has mapped out for us.

"We beat Nigeria two years ago. We have a lot of young guys in the team but we are concentrated and we will do everything possible to win," the Ghana striker said.
