Ghana internationals, John Mensah and Asamoah Gyan have both been ruled of the Black Stars’ next international match due to injuries.
Both were tipped to be part of the squad for next month’s joint 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup qualifier against Libya in Tripoli.
Mensah who plays for Olympique Lyon is closing on his return from a calf injury while Gyan would be out for six weeks after picking up a thigh injury over the weekend while playing for Rennes in the French Ligue 1.
The Rennes forward had only recently returned to action from the toe operation he underwent after playing at the Africa Cup of Nations in January for Ghana.
