Agogo is pollsters pick to score CAN opener

Junior Agogo is the pollster’s choice on www.ghanafa.org to score Ghana’s first goal at the African Cup of Nations which gets underway on Sunday.

Ghana kick off the tournament at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Group A against Guinea.

A poll which registered a total of 1276 votes spanning six days asked users to the website: Which player will net the first CAN 2008 goal for Ghana.

Eight Black Stars players were entered into the poll.

And the striker, Agogo, topped the charts with 294 votes representing 23% followed by Asamoah Gyan, with 227 votes being 18%.
