Ghana can deliver Africa's first ever Under-20 World Cup title after booking their place in the final.

The African Champions and Brazil will play in the final after both sides claimed wins in their semi-final matches at the at Cairo's International Stadium.

The day was filled with narrow wins for both sides as Ghana claimed a 3-2 victory over Hungary in the first game while the Seleção were 1-0 winners against Costa Rica.

Friday's final sets up a rematch of the 1993 final, which Brazil won 2-1 in Sydney.

This is third time Ghana have been to the final of this competition though the Black Satellites have never won the title.

For Sellas Tetteh, Ghana can claim a double, having won the African title earlier this year.

"What matters isn't just that we're in the final, but that we got there thanks to a great victory.

"We're not surprised by our performance because we played really well in the qualifying competition in Rwanda and we've had continuity and consistency here (in Egypt).

"It doesn't matter who we meet next: we're 90 minutes away from lifting the trophy," the Ghana coach said after Tuesday's win over Hungary.

Ghana full-back, David Addy says the team is bent of making history after earning their place in the final.

"Magnificent, we've worked very hard and I think we've deserved it," he said.

"It's always good to make history and that's what we're fighting for."
