Ghana coach Sellas Tetteh has hailed his strikers at the Under-20 World Cup as the team prepares to meet Hungary in the last four.
The African Champions will play Hungary in the semi-finals on Monday in Cairo after both sides prevailed in some tough quarter-final matches on Friday, which both produced ten goals from their combined wins.
Goals from strikers Dominic Adiyiah and Ransford Osei secured Ghana a place in the last four.
Adiyiah grabbed a brace to take his goal tally to six, thus becoming the leading scorer while Osei, two behind his strike partner.
Both players have now combined for 10 goals at the tournament and that has left an impression on Sellas Tetteh.
"We have clinical strikers and that is always the strength of a team," Ghana coach Sellas Tetteh said.
Ghana managed to withstand the threat posed by South Korea as the Black Satellites wont he five-goal thriller 3-2 with the Asians reducing the deficit on two separate occasions.
"It was a great match and it must have been nice to watch for everyone. For us though it was a very difficult match. I have to pay tribute to Korea Republic; they gave us a very tough match. They pass the ball well and they have tremendous energy. If they'd have been a bit more clinical, it would have been even more difficult for us. Coming out of the extra time against South Africa and a change of venues, I was delighted with the way my players responded," Ghana coach Sellas Tetteh said.
Ghana's opponents on Monday, Hungary, reached the semi-finals of the Under-20 World Cup by beating Italy 3-2 in an extra-time thriller.
The game produced four red cards, 44 fouls and finished with both coaches being sent off on a day when Fifa was promoting a message of fair play.
Hungary had defender Adrian Szekeres getting the red card and coach Sandor Egervari also dismissed by Colombian referee Oscar Ruiz.
