Ghana will go head-to-head with Korea Republic today as both sides hope for a win to book a semi-final date with either Italy or Hungary in Cairo.

Friday's game in Suez is the first meeting between the teams at youth level and it presents either side the chance to confirm their place in the last four.

The Black Satellites have a good record in this competition, having made it to the last eight in all five of their U-20 campaigns.

For Ghana, who are chasing their first World title, reaching the last four at the expense of an opposition who seem to get better with every game will not come easy.

"When you meet a team who look to be getting better as tournament progresses, then that's always a very tough prospect.

"They play beautiful, entertaining football which is fast and furious. We're extremely wary of them, but we're determined to advance," Ghana coach, Sellas Tetteh said.

Ghana, the only surviving African team at the Under-20 World Cup will be looking to make it into the semi-finals for a fourth time in five appearances.
