Ghana coach Sellas Tetteh accepts that the stakes are high as the African Champions attempt to reach the quarter-finals.
The Black Satellites are set to play in an all-African clash on Tuesday in the round of 16 against South Africa, a side Ghana knows too well.
Ghana, earlier in the year beat the Bafana Banafa 4-3 in the semi-finals on their way to lifting the continental title.
But Tuesday's clash - the last match in Ismailia - at the World Championship, is expected to be a real battle for a place in the last eight.
"We know South Africa very well, but even so we're going to be studying hard the way they've played in this tournament.
"We're the favourites, we know that, but we will be taking absolutely nothing for granted. We have to beat them and I want to see us beat them playing beautiful football," Sellas Tetteh told the media.
The Ghana coach is keen to avoid mistakes after seeing some worrying signs in their last match, as Uruguay came back from two goals down to level 2-2.
"It was a very good game and a very difficult game between two of the best teams in the group. We were doing extremely well until the sending off which created a lot of problems for us, but thankfully we held on for the draw, which meant we topped the group.
"I thought that Uruguay scored two similar goals against us and we've got to learn from that for the next game. Playing in a tournament is about getting better all the time."
For Sellas' opposite contender, Serame Letsoaka, anything is possible at this stage after scraping through to the last 16.
"We're delighted to reach the last 16, but Ghana will be very, very tough opponents for us. They are a quality side. It will be a real African derby - and as we know in derbies - anything can happen."
