Sellas Tetteh calls for improvement before England game after a comeback win capped a slow start in Ismailia for Ghana.
Ghana came back from a goal down to beat Uzbekistan 2-1 on Saturday, a win which sent the Black Satellites top of Group D with England losing to Uruguay 0-1.
Ahead of the group second game at the World Youth Championship on Tuesday, the Ghana coach has issued his side a stern warning to improve.
With no injury worries, Sellas Tetteh is not expecting the sort of start his side showed in the opening half of the game against the Asian runners-up last Saturday night as he lines up for a tough English test.
"I don't like to think that we're slow starters, we won our last game, but playing in a tournament is about progression.
"We need to keep improving and learn from the mistakes we made in the last game. England will be tough, but I hope to see an improvement from my boys," the Ghana coach said.
The Ghana bench is aware of the threat posed by the Three Lions, having slumped to defeat in their opening game.
For the English, another loss would ruin their chances of progressing as Brian Eastick also seeks improvements from his side.
"We're still in this tournament and our destiny won't be decided on the result of the opening match.
"If we can reproduce the performance we showed in the opening 70 minutes of the game against Uruguay, we have a good chance of going through," England coach, Brian Eastick said.
