Olympique Marseille have loaned Ghana attacker, André Ayew to Ligue 1 rivals FC Lorient for the season.
The 18-year-old son of former Ghana and Marseille star, Abedi Pelé made nine Ligue 1 appearances last season but faced competition for a first-team place from the likes of Djibril Cissé, Mamadou Niang, Bakary Koné and Hatem Ben Arfa.
“We have found an agreement for Andre Ayew to join Lorient for one season,” Marseille said in statement.
André Ayew will return to Marseille at the end of the season as they have given no option to extend the deal.
The youngster, who would have found first team opportunities limited is keen on the offer because he wants to be part of regular first team action.
