National Under-20 coach, Sellas Tetteh is very positive of Ghana’s qualification to the next round stage of the qualifying campaign of the 16th African Youth Championship when the Black Satellites play Angola this weekend.
Ghana would head into Sunday’s game on the back of a 5-1 first leg victory but are expecting a tougher challenge with qualification for the Championship in Rwanda next year, the main target.
Ahead of the team’s departure on Wednesday, Sellas Tetteh told the GNA, he is up for the challenge of playing away from home, as he leads the Black Satellites in the reverse clash.
"I am very much aware the Angolans will make some changes to their squad and we are ready for that.
"Playing away in competitions of this nature does not always come easy."
Despite the absence of Samuel Inkoom and Eric Adu Kofi – both who played a part in the first leg - for the game against Angola, Sellas Tetteh believes it’s an opportunity for other players to step in.
"It is always important to give other players the opportunity to prove themselves," he says.
"I am very sure we will qualifier to the next round," the Black Satellites coach added.
The Black Satellites came from a goal down to deservedly win the first leg game with goals from Rabiu Mohammed, Sadick Adams, Abdul Ganiyu and a brace from captain, Ransford Osei.
The first leg win enhanced Ghana’s chances of reaching the final round of qualifiers of the 16th African Youth Championships.
