Ghana’s women’s footballers would commence preparations next week for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games qualifiers against Angola scheduled for next month.
Thirty women footballers have been called up by Black Queens coach, Isaac Paha to begin preparations at the national camp in Prampram.
Isaac Paha and his backroom staff would be fine tuning the squad ahead of the game against the Angolans as Ghana attempts to secure her debut in the Women’s football competition at the Olympics.
The Chinese city of Beijing would host the 2008 Olympic Games.
The first leg of the Angola tie comes off in the second week of February. Ghatel Ladies contributing more than half the number of the call ups with eighteen players receiving invitation into the Black Queens from their various clubs spread across the country.

Gladys Quansah, Gladys Enti, Hamdia Abass, Aminatu Ibrahim, Olivia Amoako, Doreen Awuah, Florence Okoe, Sheila Okai, Anita Afi Dede Amenuku, Anita Amankwah, Memuna Darko, Florence Adutwumwaa, Adjoa Bayor, Gkoria Foriwa, Matilda Dadzie, Rachel Asafoa, Mawusi Gbenyo and Grace Asare (Ghatel Ladies)
Others are :
Mary Neequaye, Patience Kpobi, Dina Annan, (La Ladies), Memunatu Sulemana, Lydia Ankrah, (Ghana Post), Ama Saabi, Portia Boakye, Akua Sika, Yaa Avoe, (Fabulous Ladies).
The rest are:
Rumanatu Tahiru (Athleta), Gloria Aikins (Oforikrom) and Felicia Dapaah (Ashtown Ladies).
