Former African women's player of the year, Adjoa Bayor has arrived from China to join her Black Queens colleagues ahead of the African Women Championship.
Bayor, who plies her trade in China for Tanjin women FC touched down in Accra on Wednesday.
She would meet up with the rest of her colleagues on Saturday when the the women's team return from their three-week tour of the United States.
Club engagements dashed Bayor's hopes of joining the rest of the squad in the United States but the 2003 African Women’s Footballer of the Year says the Queens can glitter in Nigeria.
Ghana has been grouped alongside Mali, Cameroon and DR Congo in the African Women’s Championship which kicks off on Saturday, October 28.
The Black Queens had been training in the San Francisco Bay Arena for their upcoming African Women’s Championship scheduled to kick off in Nigeria on October 28.
The womens team, bounced back from their 0-1 loss to Sacramento Storm in the first practice game to beat San Francisco Nighthawks 3-2 in their last exhibition match.
Before their last game, the Black Queens had drawn 1-1 with Francisco Nighthawks.
The three-game friendly series in San Francisco was organized for the Black Queens as part of the teams build up for the African Women’s Championship.
