Ghana’s senior womens side, the Black Queens are expected home on Saturday after a three-week training tour of the United States.
The Black Queens had been training in the San Francisco Bay Arena for their upcoming African Women’s Championship scheduled to kick off in Nigeria on October 28.
The womens team, bounced back from their 0-1 loss to Sacramento Storm in the first practice game to beat San Francisco Nighthawks 3-2 in their last exhibition match.
Before their last game, the Black Queens had drawn 1-1 with Francisco Nighthawks.
The three-game friendly series in San Francisco was organized for the Black Queens as part of the teams build up for the African Women’s Championship which kicks off on October 28.
Ghana’s contingent was hosted by San Francisco Nighthawks, a women’s league team coached by Ghanaian manager, Robert Sackey.
Ghana has been grouped alongside Mali, Cameroon and DR Congo in the African Women’s Championship.
