Ghana miss the chance to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games after Nigeria beat South Africa 3-0 today at home to secure one of Africa's three qualifying spots.
The Nigerians managed qualification after edging past the Black Meteors by one point.
A draw would have been enough for Ghana who blew their qualification hopes when they failed to beat Nigeria in Accra in January.
Ghana, bronze medallist at the Olympic Games in 1992 and participants at the 1996 and 2004 editions will thus miss the chance of a fourth Olympic dream.
