Black Stars arrive in Maputo for AFCON qualifier

Black Stars arrived in the Mozambican capital Maputo on Friday night ahead of Sunday's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Coach Avram Grant travelled with 21 players to the Southern African country after injury forced out Asamoah Gyan and Mubarak Wakaso.

The Black Stars left Accra on Friday morning just hours after defeating the Mambas 3-1 in the first of the back-to-back qualifiers.

The Ghana delegation to Mozambique was led by GFA Executive Committee member Wilfred Osei Palmer as the Black Stars seek another victory on Group H.

Grant's team boast a perfect record of three wins from three midway through the round robin, giving them a six-point lead over Rwanda and Mauritius, who face each other on Saturday.
